    Harrisons Cafe in Newcastle Emlyn

In addition to the below, its worth reading the Visitors book inside each cottage when you arrive as previous guests have very kindly left detailed notes on where is good to go.

Harrisons Cafe in Newcastle Emlyn – our favourite coffee spot is in their lovely garden overlooking the River Teifi, perfect in Spring/Summer and Autumn watching the wildlife on the river. Dogs allowed in the garden and also in the front window seat inside.

Cwtch Cafe in Newcastle Emlyn – unfortunately no dogs allowed but thoroughly recommend their breakfasts.

The Daffodil Inn in Penrhiwllan - BEST pub/restaurant with really great menu. Super dog friendly, they even supply dog blankets and treats.

The Warren in Carmarthen – Totally dog friendly; coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks.. gorgeous, gorgeous!!

Pethau Da – Carmarthen – Totally dog friendly; great coffee & cakes, breakfast and lunch, lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff.

Blaenfforest recommends for a special occasion:

Hammet @Castell Malgwyn (Hammet House Hotel) in Llechryd (20 mins drive).A fabulously quirky, dog friendly luxury boutique hotel housing an amazing private art collection. Open to non-residents but do call first to book. Serving food Wednesday to Sunday.Great afternoon teas and their lunches and dinners are a gourmet treat. If you’re celebrating a special occasion we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend – and an excellent wine list!

What our guests say

Blaenfforest Cottages are the perfect place to get away from it all, and Rachel is a lovely host. We stayed over Christmas and Rachel had beautifully
decorated the Granary for us. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped to make a full Christmas menu. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud.
We made good use of the log burner and the Hot Tub in between watching Netflix. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave!
